Scripture memory, but make it a game

Hide God's Word in your heart — while you run.

Verse Runner turns Bible memorization into a side-scrolling adventure. Kids dash through the verse, pick the right next word, and earn coins, streaks and goofy new pals along the way.

Coming soon to the App Store See how it works

For iPhone and iPad. We'll announce the launch right here.

How Verse Runner works

Short, fun runs that put each verse in order — again and again, until it sticks.

Read the verse

Every run starts with the verse on screen, so you know what you're about to run through.

Run and pick the next word

Two words race toward you. Tap to switch lanes and catch the one that comes next in the verse — dodge the tricky wrong one.

Earn coins, streaks and pals

Perfect runs earn medals. Daily streaks (with streak freezes) build the habit. Coins unlock a growing cast of racing, wheelie-popping pals.

Meet the pals

Earn coins to bring a friend along on your run. Each one has its own look and its own sound.

Review

The correct word is highlighted, so beginners can follow along and learn the verse's rhythm.

Normal

A steady pace, with a mix of simple and verse-like wrong words for a real challenge.

Hard

Fast, with the trickiest wrong words — and extra coins for the kids who want more.

Scripture Memory Camp · July 5–9, 2027

Memorize Scripture. Earn a week of camp.

Kids ages 3–18 can earn a scholarship to next summer's Scripture Memory Camp just by hiding God's Word in their hearts. This year's theme is Songs of the Soul, Volume 2 — and you can learn those verses by playing Verse Runner.

25verses

PreK – 2nd grade

50verses

3rd – 5th grade

75verses

6th – 12th grade

Memorize your verses

Learn the verses for your grade from Songs of the Soul, Volume 2: Key Memory Verses from Psalms 76–150. Play the Songs of the Soul – Vol. 2 collection in Verse Runner to practice them again and again.

Recite to a hearer

Each week, say your verses to an adult hearer (age 19 or older). A Basic Scholarship brings camp down to a small fee. A Cumulative Scholarship — reciting everything in one sitting to your pastor or church leader — brings it down to just the deposit.

Send in your form

Your hearer signs the certification form, and it's sent to SMF by June 14, 2027. Then register and get ready for a week of fun at Southland Christian Camp, Ringgold, Louisiana.

Playing Verse Runner is a great way to learn the verses, but camp scholarships are certified by your hearer's signed form, not by the game. Adults (19 & up) are welcome at full price.

Go deeper with the books

The verse collections in the game follow our books. Pick one up and keep the learning going away from the screen.
